The Iris was such a relaxing place to dine I could have gladly stayed the night. The staff was friendly and helpful, service was spot on and the food was just superb. A return visit is a must.

Iris, a mixed review in the press, but we we impressed with the place, food was good and service was ok. Warm and welcoming. Scallops starter portion was vast, but very good. Tables a little close to one and other, but seems to be pretty common these days.

A great new addition to the Edinburgh eating scene. I would describe it as an up market bistro that if polished correctly could be up there with the big boys based down in Leith Whilst the menu was fairly short there was two or three dishes from each course that I could have picked

Lovely food & friendly staff. The rack of lamb was very tasty. Could get very noisy if the restaurant was full. Would definitely come back.

I ate at Iris last night (11th March) and have to say that it was delightful. The interior is contemporary but very warm and the food was absolutely delicious. Fish of the day was hallibut and it was cooked to perfection. Will definately recommend this restaurant to friends and look forward to returning soon.

Nice meal and wine at Iris on Thistle Street. We were the only people in the restaurant on a Sunday evening, more people did arrive just before we left. We still had an enjoyable evening, as the food was good. Would go back again next time we are in Edinburgh

A second visit to Iris on a Saturday evening. Quieter than last time, which meant the place felt more intimate and private - which was very much welcomed. Food again was very good. Steak and Duck both being well cooked and flavoured. Waiting staff attentive, owner slightly over friendly...
