Very good. But Whereas the Top Table offer says '50% off total food bill' we were given this only on the starter and main course and charged full price for side dishes such as vegetables. Not a serious complaint but not what the offer claims. Otherwise very good.

The Hat and Feathers is based on the first floor above a loud pub. The food WAS extremely good and well presented, however the service was very lacking, taking an hour between our starter and next dish, we did not recieve any bread until we asked for it. We found the food sparse and both my girlfriend and I were still hungry when we left a whole 4 hours after we entered. In fact we felt like leaving half way through. Overall I would not return especially if looking for a romantic evening!

Hat and featers restaurant : we went there for New Year Eve - Food and service were excellent but very little. We had a 4 course meal but I was still hungry at the end. However, service was great and food originally arranged. Would recommend.

Hat and Feathers had really good food although they are quite small portions, especially the lemon sole! I has the beef fillet which was very good and quite filling. It was good value with the toptable special offer but I wouldn't want to pay full price there as it would be too expensive for what you get.

Very good food. Service pleaseant though a little slow but understandable really given this was a busy New Years Eve booking. A shame they were not able to provide the alternative to the fish course for my guest who is seriously allergic to all fish especially as I had called in advance to arrange this.

We went there for NYE and the food was great. The only downside was that there was not enough staff so we didn't quite finish dinner on time but we had a great night and I would definitely go again

Hat and Feathers was a good choice for new years eve. we were served by the manager as he had staff shortages which is why service was probably not as good as it should be as he was literally run off his feet, but i would give him a 10 for service.food was small portions for a set price,but with 5 courses i could not have eaten any more,and i can truly say the food was wonderful. the menu etc is probably different at normal times,but i would highly recommend going to taste the exquisite food.

The Hat and feather was a great dining experience. Fantastic dining area, good service, great quality of food. Only slight ctitcism was that it was a pity the portions were not a little larger; however, all in all, very good

The Hat and Feathers was an unexpectedly good restaurant. The food was delicious, although my boyfriend did complain about the portion size. The chef catered very well for my food allergies. The wine list had plenty to chose by the glass but was a bit pricy . Excellent service. The restaurant has a tucked away feeling, almost like being in someone's dining room although the ambience was ruined a little by a slightly intrusive business supper on the next table. The raspberry icecream was amazing!
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
