We had the best time when we dined at Hadley House on Christmas eve. There was a big party in, so we were warned that service would be slower than expected, but the apologies were really not necessary as the aperitifs were delicious, home-made bread crusty, and the menu so tempting that we wouldn't have been able to make a quick decision anyway. I couldn't find a single fault with the food which lived up to the slightly pretentious descriptions, though my husband ate far too much!

Hadley House - Wanstead E11. Excellent food, particularly scallops, but also the venison. Good quantity too! Bill came to £75 - 2 courses inc 2 large glasses of wine, bottle of water, 2 coffees and bread and olives too. Good value for the quality and quantity. Worth a visit for a special night out.

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times now and have liked the atmosphere both times, which is fairly laid back but friendly. The food has always been to a high standard, especially the fish dishes! Five of us dined here, each with a different 3 course meal. . . all of which we enjoyed.

Had a relaxed and enjoyable evening at Hadley House. The food was fantastic, particularly the scallop starter. The service was friendly and efficient, but in no way overbearing. Would definately return and recommend to friends.

We had a lovely birthday celebration last Sunday. The menu was varied so something for everyone. The fish in beer batter was delicious as were all the meals although the lamb was quite fatty. The tables were very close together but we managed to squeeze in. The service was good and the restaurant staff warm and helpful. The wine could've been better-chilled. It took a while to adjust to the 'pinkness' of the decor but overall, a pretty cool ambience. Thank you.

Hadley House is charming, with excellent food and very helpful staff. I've paid far more at, shall we say, "upmarket" restaurants, for food that was nowhere near as good. Will definitely be returning!

Went to Hadley House for Sunday lunch. My husband had the beef roast and I had the special of toad in the hole. They were both delicious and cooked so well. Desserts were lovely too - would highly recommend the chocolate praline and the chocolate and raspberry brioche bread & butter pudding - divine!
