Gaucho Swallow Street 17 Dec - : never disappoints as you know what you'll get and they never fail to deliver. Great ambience, really buzzy but not too loud, interesting wine list.

Great food , meat was excellent if a bit pricey. This was my first visit to the Piccadilly branch . We sat downstairs . The roof was very low, there was no natural light , the tables and chairs were very low and therefore uncomfortable . I will go back but never to eat dowstairs again . Service was good but a bit pushy . I was drinking white wine and they kept pouring me red even though I asked them to stop.

Gaucho Grill is a great place to go for a fantastic steak. Good ambience with dark lighting and wood floors, highly recommended.

Despite booking a table for Christmas week, we were very pleasantly surprised at how efficient the service at Gaucho was. We decided to go for our waiters recommendation, and we were not disappointed the steaks were served up cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. The wine list was quite reasonably priced too! We are returning to London in March 2008 and will definitely revisit The Gaucho PiccadillY!

Wonderful food. The cerviche were beautiful - clean light starters with just the right chilli kick... and the steaks were sublime! Very attentive waiting staff - although I do hate it when they top your wine glass up every 5 minutes! We know why you do it... it won't make us drink faster and we won't be buying yet more expensive plonk! Plus our red wine came to the table icey cold. Finished the meal with a yum chocolate/ fruit fondue - all in all a very decadent, atmospheric meal out.

Not suitable for vegetarians but if you are looking for good quality steaks then look no further than the Gaucho Grill which provides excellent Argentinian sourced meat cooked perfectly according to taste. My boss chose this option after every other restaurant choice proved to be fully booked but was praising the quality of the meal afterwards and the funky restaurant. The ambience lends itself more to evening due to its dark and slightly kitch decor but is definitely worth visiting
