I had not previously heard of Fort Kochi although I live in Northampton and the restaurant has been open for 6 months. I arrived on a very warm evening and the restaurant was lovely and cool. The menu was an absolute delight for me as a non meat eater. I will definitely return as there are so many fascinating dishes that I have not previously come across - not your usual Indian Restaurant food - definitely up a level! I highly recommend it and will be back (probably many times).

Very tasty South Indian Cuisine at Fort Kochi! We highly recommend the "dosa's". Great service too.

Truly excellent restaurant. There are not that many South Indian restaurants but this one is very authentic, just the way I remember it in Asia. The seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes were exquisite. What surprised me most were the desserts...I don't normally like Indian desserts as they are usually too sweet but the choice and quality here is sublime. The 25% off the food were a nice touch to what was already good-value. Also, ample parking and wonderful toilets.

Excellent as usual. It was so good earlier in the week that I came back again. This time, I tried the seafood dishes and they were very tasty...prawns and fish curry. The Kulfi ice-cream was also delicious. No doubt I will be back soon.

Northampton's Fort Kochi is a hidden gem of the Midlands dining circuit. Offering sublime South Indian cuisine, this eaterie is in part labyrinth of magical, mystical flavours, part familiar, friendly faces. Yet these faces are those of staff you have never before met - talismen of the quintessential restaurant experience. We dined on airy dosas (pancakes) packed with subtle flavours and accompanied by sambar and a delightful coconut chutney. Sides and divine rice pudding to complete.

Fort Kochin was a very pleasant surprise with a unique menu. The fish soup was fabulous and the service super polite. Highly recommended for those fed up with the same old thing at other indian restaurants

Very Good as usual. This is my favourite Indian restaurant. I tried the crab dishes...they were very good (although the shells were quite tricky to manage). The vegetarian dishes were delightful.

This little gem is well worth the visit, its food and service are second to none. If you can manage to squeeze in during the week when its nice and quiet the waiting time for food is very minimal. Overall VERY IMPRESSIVE restaurant

Don't be put off by the location of Fort Kochi (behind the delivery entrance of M&S). We were really impressed by the variety and taste of the dishes, which were not your normal run-of-the-mill chicken tikka masala; the chef is from a Southern India fishing village so the fish dishes, in particular were very good. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to recommend dishes to us.
