Had a truly great time at Fishers Bistro and will no doubt be returning next time I am in Edinburgh. The food was delicious and the substantial wine list was surprisingly well priced. But what made it different to other good seafood restaurants was the service- friendly, very efficient and courteous. They have a sister restaurant in the city centre, but I recommend taking the 10min taxi ride to this one, it's well worth it for the ambience.

I took my partner to Fisher Bistro at The Shore in Leith for a birthday sunday lunchtime treat.Located in a wonderful setting at Edinburghs coast. The seafood and fish was fresh and delicious, menu exciting, and service excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant- especially for a late lunch with its nautical cosy ambience. lt's also a 10min walk from Royal Yacht Brittannia if you are looking for a stroll before your meal !

First time at Fishers. Excellent location, right on The Shore by the water. Superb fresh fish platter and a huge seabass was an excellent treat. The daily menu is a great, and allows them to ensure all the fish is fresh and in season. If you go to Edinburgh you have to visit this restaurant at some point.

An excellent restaurant in a unique location. We really enjoyed the food & the service was excellent. The restaurant is small (maybe 7 or 8 tables) but there are additional tables in the bar. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the Edinburgh area - it's only 3 miles from Edinburgh City Centre and within walking distance from the Royal Yacht Britannia if you're wondering what to do before your meal...

Go there regularly and always the best place to have seafood, not just in Edinburgh but within UK. A bit on the expensive side but definitely worth the money. Just a shame that it's too popular and so have the 2 hour turn around.

I was looking forward to dinner at Fishers on the Shore on 2nd July but was sadly disappointed. My starter of Scallops were miniscule and overcooked as was my main course of langoustines. Thankfully a good plate of cheese helped stave off hunger. I had been looking forward to the meal but feel that Fishers is no longer the restaurant that it was. It will be along time before I venture back.
