Admittedly it was a last minute booking for a team christmas lunch we needed somewhere with british food and close by, with most places being fully booked, Firefly was picked. On arrival upstairs was busy but we were led to our table downstairs where there was only 1 other table dining. Considering the festive season there was nothing festive to make it feel like christmas. However, the food was enjoyable and service was fine. Just needed a bit better ambience.

i booked for an early supper at 4:30pm, so they weren't busy. service was slow. many of us ordered the Thai curry. the portion was so SMALL. one tea cup of rice, 2 and a half mushrooms and 4 pieces of 50p size 8mm thick chicken in a sauce. i had guests, i was embarrassed. menu was very limited. coffee came in three rounds 10 minutes apart from each other when ordered together. probably because it was happy hour. won't go back although taste of food is quite good. many choices in that area.

Only veg option removed from menu and forgot one of the diner's meals so the 5 of us had almost finished by the time hers arrived. Wouldn't go back.

Went there on a Friday night which probably was not the way forward ! sat next to the window surrounded by intoxicated folk. But would be willing to give a go again as the food was reasonable but next time on a monday !

Food was fantastic - had a ribeye steak with homecut chips followed by lemongrass creme brulee all for the bargain price of £14.50. Waitress was a bit slow (restuarant wasn't particularly full so no real reason for this) and clumsy (my friends food almost missed the table) but a good place for a cheapish business lunch - venue looks superb!

Good lunch time restaurant. The staff appear quite inexperienced, but are very courteous and helpful. Had hummos and olives for starters. The hummos was a bit of a disappointment, but the olives were great. Beef burger and chips with salsa was cooked to perfection and a nice size. Nice wines and good coffee. All in all a positive experience.

Firefly offered a great variety of food, all reasonably priced and brought along by our friendly and helpful waiter. Plenty of great wines to choose from too. Highly recommended!

The lunchtime dining experience at Firefly was a delight. There was a large group of us, as we were able to dine with two courses without feeling rushed in just over an hour. The staff were fantastic, the food was great and it was excellent value for money. I would certainly return.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
