Sublime food...not a scrap left on either plate and we even disgraced ourselves by ordering dessert! The ambience is perfect,and you cannot help but enjoy the wine,food and atmosphere.

Booked for Friday lunchtime but was disappointed to find that majority of starter dishes were 'off' after a problem with the supplier. General quality of the food that we had was good although we felt that there was too much emphasis on cream in the dishes which was not ideal for a lunch menu. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Was a Monday lunchtime so was fairly quiet, and therefore not much atmosphere. Was however very disappointed with the food - just a bit bland, and a bit expensive for what it was.

Food was very good quality ( when we finally got it ). I feel that 50 mins is rather a long time to wait for a plate of soup !!! The City Cafe in Glasgow is ideally situated next to the River Clyde. Decor and Ambience were also good, but service was terrible. There was a show on in the neighbouring SECC so that may have been the reason. Overall, I would recommend a visit, as the food really was " Top Notch ".

Food was excellent, service a bit forgetful , maybe because it was buffet style lunch. We went to dinner in City Cafe before and rate it highly; fish was cooked to perfection!

The City Cafe is certainly geared up for pre-concert dinners but they didn't rush you out the door. The service was just right and the ambience was very nice. I would definitely recommend this. One small critisicm is that the pre-dinner menu didn't have a lot of choice on it.

We arrived 2 hours late due to a delay on the plane but the staff made us feel welcome and well looked after. Although it was 10pm and we were the last table but one the service was excellent and the food was very good too.

Dined on the pre-show menu, good value - salmon on smoked haddock risotto was excellent. Good wine selection also. Would certainly dine again next time going to the SECC. Tables extremely close together - fine for pre-theatre quick dining but wouldn't have been so keen if wanting a leisurely dining experience. Bar was always busy in the evening, not enough seats so had to sit in the reception area was is a little drafty from the main door.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
