The City Cafe pleasantly surprised me as it was so cheap. The ambience was good, location was central and the food was extremely good. I have already recommended it to a friend and I would highly advise other people to go there.

The quality of the food at City Cafe was very good last night. However we had to ask for toast for the fois gras and chicken terrine which I would have expected to have come automatically. We were however the only group in the restaurant, which was a shame as the 2 courses for 14.50 was a very good deal, so it was rather lacking in atmosphere - this could have been the time of year however.

We had a lovely Christmas Eve lunch at the City Cafe - but strangely we had the place to ourselves! The set menu was reasonable value and the food was really good. The only odd thing was that 10% service was added to our bill - twice! So look out for that if you're going. Otherwise, thoroughly recommended for a nice lunch.

We enjoyed Dinner and Breakfast because we stayed the night. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for restaurant that offers good value and well cooked food. Would defintely go back for seconds!

The City Cafe is an absolute delight! The service was top class; very professional and discreet but also friendly. Our starters of Scallop Risotto and Gravadlax were perfeclty cooked and presented and delicious! The beef maincourse was exceptionally tender and perfeclty cooked. The pork was a little salty and the sauce not to my taste, but very well executed. Wine list was interesting if a little on the expensive side. Unfortunalty didn't have time for dessert, so we will definelty be back.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
