Excellent food, one of the best chinese tasted. Unfortunately the service was poor, we were waiting quite a while to be served upon. Manner of the service was pleasant but we had to remind them about drinks that were forgotton about. Our rice was placed on a different table which we helped ourselves too staff did not attend to us. We always had to ask to be served. The restaurant was busy and seemed short staffed.

A high ranking chinese delegation who dined here very recently recommended China Town to me quoting it "as the best chinese meal they had had outside China" praise indeed. From my experience I too would say this is unquestionably the best cantonese restaurant in Edinburgh

recently dined in the chinatown retuarant in edinburgh and found the food and especialy the service top class.the whole experience was totally relaxing and unhurried.the staff were really helpful and polite,compared to a lot of chinese restuarants where you are usually rushed out the door after your meal it was a pleasant change to feel at ease to take your time.i would have no hesitation in recomending chinatown to friends and look forward to returning myself.

This was certainly one very stylish chinese. China Town Restaurant ticked all the right boxes for sure - it offered an unbelievably vast menu of most excellent food - exquisitely garnished and presented. The decor was really tasteful and the service quite exceptional - discrete, but at the same time warm, friendly and helpful. Amazingly good value for what is a very up-market chinese restaurant. Judging by fellow diners comments, the owners are making a fantastic impression on their customers.

The China Town Restaurant - Edinburgh is a great find, only opened in Feb 08 it has a great new look not usually found in a chinese restaurant. The service was excellent although it was quiet being a Tuesday evening. I am sure anyone would enjoy a meal here.(found 10 reviews)
