We very much enjoyed our meal in Chez Gerard. The food was excellent, service discreet, attentive & fast. The ambience is very good - calm in the midst of so much action. Highly recommended.

I had previously heard good things about Chez Gerard in Covent Garden, but I have to say I have never been so disappointed by a meal as I was this time. The restaurant seemed to have lost our booking and staff were pointing at us and were setting up a table in front of us. When we finally sat down, after 20 minutes wait, we were in a really awkward corner, on a tiny table. The food was overcooked and service was appalling. Definitely not going back!

Chez Gerard Covent Garden. Food and atmosphere very good. Prawn starter -excellent and lobster crepe tasty. Only flaw was that they took ages to serve us our drinks (and added gratuities on to our bill)

Chez Gerard- the place for atmosphere, good service and above all mouth watering french food at decent prices! Enjoy the steaks & pommes frites - excellent!

Food quantity and quality is superb and the service is very good. Prices high but expected for such a good location. Not that happy about restaurants which include both cover chagres and "optional" service charges on their bills - and who also invite customers to add a tip when paying! All in all a great location and a very stylish restaurant, Chez Gerard - Covent Garden has a very good menu, especially if you enjoy eating meat. Much less choice for vegetarians but that's typical in France.

It is a nice place and service is efficient and the food is ok. But considering the price level i must say, that we were not impressed though. The creme brullé was a dissapointment, the surface was perfect and crispy but the creme was stiff and dry.

My eighteen-year-old daughter, was very impressed with the food, the ambience and the location (opera terrace), however for someone who dines regularly at other equally select venues, I thought the ambience was average and the food a little over priced. The location is great and I would defiantly recommend it to those who like to be in the hub of things
