The Chez Catherine was a reasonably priced Paris restaurant where the waiter tried very hard to make this a good experience. There was only one other couple dining when we arrived, so atmosphere was severely lacking, with no background music. The food was good but let itself down on the main course, a John Dory, served stone cold which was such a shame. The cold plates were replaced with hot ones, so they did try to remedy this situation when we complained. Good value, but lacking atmosphere.

Chez Catherine Paris Small restaurant in quiet area with a warm welcome and good food. A surprise menu available for parties of 4+. Excellent starters and deserts. Plats bit more standard. Good wine selection with good sommelier service. Lots of tourists but also locals. Service really good and light hearted!

It was an exquisite restaurant with fantastic food. The wine was out of this world and we felt as though we had had the ultimate night out. Only downside was, we were segregated from local diners.

Chez Catherine was very welcoming and the staff were charming. Reasonable English spoken. The Tasting Menu was E70 and was good, if not haute cuisine. There was also a prix fixe at E45. Traditional French food, nicely presented. Would certainly go again.

Chez Catherine is a small, delightful restaurant tucked away in a small side street in a very pleasant area of central Paris. I would particularly recommend the beef for two which was exquisite.

pleasant restaurant setting aiming at being modern and stylish but not quite getting there. service from the two waiters was great but we found the manager stefan to be rather superior and unimpressed by his wine recommendations. he was decidedly frosty by the time we left after we chose to miss the cheese and coffee courses. our starters were enjoyable and same with the mains of veal and rabbit but not outstanding or imaginative. had read the reviews beforehand so our experience v disppointing.

This was the first time I had booked a restaurant via TopTable that was not in London. Chez Catherine was lovely, good food, good service and not a problem if you do not speak French.

A lovely venue and value for money, a part of 8, 3 courses and plenty of wine cost us 625 euros which we think works about about £50 per person. An imaginative menu, when delivered we were all wishing we had chosen the blini starter but everything here was good. Note, if you have young children this place is very family friendly, thou the menu may be a little grown up if your children are fussy eaters (there are always chips).
