We ate at Canova on Boxing day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was not aware when I booked this restaurant that it was located in the Luna Baglioni. The food was very good as was the setting. The free bottle of wine was not the cheap house wine we had expected but a very good cabernet sauvignon. We would not hesitate to recommend this establishment, the staff are excellent and the prices for Venice are very competetive

We are an English couple who have eaten at many Michelin starred/Good Food Guide restaurants. This rates very highly. We are very critical but it ticked 90% of the boxes. Unreserved recommendation. Good deal too with the wine. Why not have an aperitif, Bellini or Martini at Harrys Bar - about £10 a drink mind. Then wander 100yds to St Marks....

Canova is an excellent venue if you are looking for classy hotel luxury dining i.e. it does not pretend to offer Venice local, traditional ambience. But if you want a stylish evening out starting with a glass of champagne followed by classy cooking than this is a candidate. The menu is not extensive but there is enough choice and the pumpkin and red prawns risotto was a delight!

I chose Canova for our first wedding anniversary and was very happy with my choice. Great friendly staff, beuatiful decor and a great relaxed atmosphere - a must if you're visiting Venice.

Canova is housed in an absolutely magnificent room, straight out of "Marie Antoinette" and is in an enviable location. The food was great although slight misunderstandings resulted in a few mishaps including being served a well done piece of steak rather than rare, however this was dealt with both efficiently and with sincere apologies on their behalf. Overall the meal was excellent and their choice of wine superb, I would definately return next time.

The food, service and ambiience was truly excellent. Canova is the restaurant of a 5 star hotel, and definitely lived up to it's rating. Would highly recommend.

Canova was a fantastic dining experience. My fiancee and myself were there for a special occasion and Canova did not disappoint. The welcome glass of Venetian champagne was amazing. The lobster for starter was melt in the mouth, as was the perfectly cooked beef that we had for main. The maitre d and waiters appear to have found the ideal combination of fantastic but unobtrusive service . We would both return in a heart beat. Highly highly recommended.

Very pleasant staff waiting at the tables, nice quality food and a good acoustic guitar player all positives. On the downside the cocktail bar next door required a separate bill for pre-dinner drinks, and was staffed by just one overworked and unenthusiastic barman. Finishing off an excellent meal with an after dinner drink turned into more of a chore than a pleasure, but overall the experience was good.

We dined at the Canova restaurant for our 10th wedding anniversary, the ambience, service and food were out of this world. A very special restaurant.
