we booked for a Sunday late-lunch prior to going to an exhibition at the V&A. We booked for the main restaurant floor but when we got there we were told that out booking through Toptables never got to them. However, the chef came up to apologise in person, and we were treated nicely and warmly, sat at the bar floor, and told that we can order anything from the main restaurant menu. The food was delicious. I wouldn't cross town for it but if you are in South Ken it is a delightful option.

Excellent spring rolls nice curry good dessert very suitable for a late night dinner and a few drinks. Nice upmarket feel but good value for money. We spent less than £20 each in a restaurant in Kensington & Chelsea.

Went to Cafe News Bar Asia last night for an early dinner. Food was good, however we were the only table there. I can imagine its much better with ambience... I would return for their dim sums tho!

I visited Cafe Asia this week and was very impressed. The service was friendly and very speedy. Timing between courses was spot on and we were made to feel like special guests all evening. The food was very good, well presented and the portion sizes were just right. Just two other tables eating (but this was just a Monday evening) made up the rest of the diners. The atmosphere was just right. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to eat Asian in this part of Kensington.

Cafe News Bar Asia is a nice place to go, but it was very quiet (only 1 other table dining). The menu is a bit limited. The duck curry main and the Singapore Noodles were ok, but not worth the long walk from the tube station past other really nice restaurants. Toilets not great, could do with a refresh... but all in all, an acceptable experience. But not one that I would repeat again.

Finally an affordable restaurant in Kensington! Good good and good value for money. I went here with my partner who likes Indian food whereas I wanted Chinese and Cafe News Bar Asia has both as well as some thai and malaysian dishes.

We arrived at the restaurant and it was quite empty so this had an impact on atmosphere. The food was very good and the staff were very accommodating when we requested additional/different sauces etc. The menu was slightly long and confusing, but we were all very happy with our choices. This is a nice, quiet restaurant which would be very good for a quiet catch up wtih friends.
