Review

Cafe Kale de Grote is essentially a large pub or Dutch 'brown' bar. If you're looking for that atmosphere (which I was) it's a great place to relax and have a meal and drinks with friends. The food is fairly good, though somewhat typical/not creative. They have some interesting seafood dishes and one or two vegetarian dishes. Service isn't great, even by Dutch standards, but I'd still go back when I'm looking for this type of setting.

Review

Cafe Kale de Grote was a great place to go for lunch, good atmosephere and in a good part of town to walk to the museums etc.
