I ate at The Belvedere on Saturday night with a party of about 7 other diners. I arrived at 630pm for a drink before dinner at 7pm. The restaurant was empty, but the decor appealing. Waiters were quickly on hand to attend to drinks orders. The meal itself was very good. A starter of black pudding was delicious, and the smoked haddock main was also very good. The wine list was reasonably extensive. Highly recommended, if slightly expensive.

This was my first visit to Belvedere and it is fair to say that I was generally delighted with all aspects. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend it.

Outstanding lunch here on a miserable wet Sunday brightened up our day! Food and service were memorably good value and the the ambience was excellent. Other diners also clearly enjoyed their experience. Highly recommended.

The Belvedere has a great location - definitely somewhere special but not horrendously expensive

Belvedere has a lovely location and is a gorgeous building. When we arrived at 7.30 they place was all but deserted which was worrisome but it was full by 10! Food was good but not amazing. Snails to start un-memorable and the fish for main well cooked but just a bit boring. Souffle made up for all else it was perfect so left happy. My guests all loved their food and the price is better than many lesser venues so well worth a try.
