Very enjoyable lunchtime meal at Bell's Diner and I would thoroughly recommend heading in for a gastronomic meal. The chefs presentation and choice of accompaniments are spot on and even though I live in London, I would certainly go back over and over again!

Had a nice meal in BD, a little disappointed with the service - we were initially annoyed, and then I found the waiter slightly smug. Good food though - but I would expect that, as it is not cheap. I would like to see what else is in Bristol in this price range before returning.

Having lived in Bristol for 3 years and missed this place, I can only applaud toptable for the choice. This is a rare gem of great ingredients and inventive cooking. A great evening was had by all!

Bell's Diner short menu but good imaginative food beautifully presented. I'd definely go again eventhough we had to take a taxi because we were worried about the area and lack of parking.The expert French waiting staff queried my choice of white wine with the goats chees strarter and I took their advice to go for red which worked well.

Truly delicious food and an intelligent wine list - just sorry we didn't get more courses! 'Lemon fantasy' pudding was amazing, as was pretty much everything. On the pricey side for Bristol but very worth it unless you are veggie, in which case the menu is one (delicious) thing.

Has to be the best dining experience we have had, and an experience is the right word - wasn't just a good meal. Food outstanding, wine delicious, service impeccable. A very enjoyable evening. Looking forward to returning again very soon.

Menu needs greater thought as some combinations seemed to be more for effect than flavour! Certainly they read better than they tasted. And what is it with this kitchen that purees every vegetable? What's so wrong with well made mash? Service started really well but, as the night got busier, everything ground to a halt. Can't fault politeness but we had to wait 20 minutes to receive the bill. Nice atmosphere but, with other alternatives (where you can park), won't be rushing back.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
