This place is lovely! Great food, amazing service and a great deal for new years eve. It is worth going just for a cocktail, but if you get the chance to have a meal and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere you should go for it!

The Shoreditch Beach Blanket Babylon is a disappointment. The waiters don't understand much English. We had to request menus and were then given only one. The drinks were slow. The portions were pathetic. The main course arrived more than 30 mins after we'd finished the starters. There were only 2 puddings - and the creme brulee was terrible. And their coffee machine "hasn't been delivered yet". They need to buck up in a big way if they are to emulate the success of the Notting Hill branch.

The food was good, from a winter warmer soup, through scallops to a well cooked (rare) steak. Portions are small however even by goumet food standards (they need more mouse bouches if they are going to keep them this small). Service was very friendly, if a little chaotic - its not a well drilled machine yet. Overall a good place, though for the price (ok it was New Years Eve), I didn't think it offered great value for money, especially for this location.

Hmmm...was very nice (service was great and the cocktails amazing I have to say) but a bit too cool for school....like the boy in your class who thought he was REALLY good looking but when you looked closely he was just sort of all right looking and his arrogance, although attractive at the start, just annoyed you in the end? This restaurant's a bit like that!

Very disappointing. The place is overstaffed but the service is very bad. At 8PM they had no oysters or scallops (the best things on the menu) and there were long delays for the food. We were not offered dessert or tea/coffee or more drinks and almost left without paying because we couldn't get one of the 5 staff chatting at the door to take our money. Our bill did not include our bar drinks or wine. It looks beautiful from the outside, but has delusions of grandeur it doesn't live up to.

We had a great evening at the BBB Shorditch... The service was excellent, the food fantastic, the venue delightful..... thoroughly recommend, for couples or groups of friends, all catered for..... and then downstairs to the bar/club... perfect evening.

Had dinner at BBB Shoreditch last nite. The place looks cool, eclectic decor and funky furniture. Very spacious, with high ceilings. Buzzy though it was only Tuesday. Had cocktails at the bar before going to our table, @£7.5 they were not cheap but also not expensive. We had calf's liver and the burger for mains, & they were excellent! Liver was perfectly cooked and my partner's burger seemed really nice was well! (though perhaps on the small side). As a local, would def come back again!

Recently went to Beach Blanket Babylon - Shoreditch and was fairly disappointed. The decor and the drinks are fantastic but the service and the food are pretty dismal. Took staff 20mins to bring 1 beer and 1 cocktail to the table. Food portions are almost transparent and over-priced. Side dishes were brought to us 10 mins after our mains, by then everyone on the table had finished mains and no longer needed the side orders. It has just opened so maybe in time it will become a better place.

The Beach Blanket Babylon in Shoreditch is a brilliant add on to the thriving zone of Shoreditch and Hoxton. The service was impeccable, and so were the blueberry mojitos! Could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate my birthday :)

I had a really great night with a friend at this new offering. Situated on Bethnal Green Road, its a bit of a walk from a tube which should share anyone who doesnt know Shoreditch off. Located in a revamped warehouse on the trendy end the venue is decorated very discrertly and yet the ambience inside was great. A few teething problems you would expect of a new venue - toilets were horrible. But the food and cocktails made up for this I will definately be revisiting.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
