Bartellas is a breath of fresh air in Hildenborough. Situated right next to the station, but I don't remember hearing a single train; It's family run and the hardworking team will do everything to make your evening. Simple, authentic Italian dishes with a smile. We went for my birthday and the food was divine (try the Avocado and Prawn risotto or the 3 flavours of sorbet in a scrummy brandy basket). Very reasonably priced. The sort of place for a dinner out with the girls or a family occasion.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Bartellas in Hildenborough, they were fantastic. This restaurant is seriously good value for money, with most wines reasonably prices under £20 and lovely as well. The starters were amazing and we went for one of their special cooked 'at the table' selections for one of the main courses. The aroma was enticing and the taste was wonderful. Absolutely no doubt about it - we'll be back...soon.

Overall a very pleasant meal out with good food. The restaurant decor was very contemperary and well laid out. We arrived for a mid afternoon meal on a Sunday - the restaurant was obviously recovering from a busy lunch and service was a bit slow. We had booked but had to wait for our table as the empty tables had not yet been cleared - perhaps more staff / shift change with fresh staff could aleviate this problem in future.

Generally a good experience with very attentive service. Overall rating pulled down by a meagre chicken caesar salad, the portion size of which nowhere near justified the £9 price tag.
