Booked for a company christmas party, perfect location, some people arrived later and this was no problem for the staff, and we were not shuffled off the table after food had been eaten. Great food and great atmosphere

6 of us went to Bankside EC2 for Christmas Dinner on Friday 7th December. There was a reasonable choice on the menu but the starters and sweets were on the small side, especially the pate and the Christmas Pud but very tasty nevertheless. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Bankside EC2 is a lovely place to get a relaxed lunch in the city - the food is hearty, nothing pretentious.

Had a pleasant evening at Bankside EC2. The food was very simple, but done very well and for £15 for three courses was excellent value. There was not much of an atmosphere, but for a Friday night in the City it made a pleasant change to be able to actually have a conversation without having to shout across the table at each other. Would definitely return.

Have generally had good meals at Bankside, but this visit was not up to scratch. There was a private Christmas party happening at the same time, which may have accounted for poor service and less than impressive food. However, nothing can excuse asking simply for a brandy and mixer and being served Hennessy XO at £9.95 a shot, instead of Martell at £2.95. We wouldn't have noticed unless we'd checked the bill. Won't be returning in a hurry.

The atmosphere was good unfortunately the service was not. The restaurant was not busy. Apart from taking the wine order promptly on our arrival the waitress had to be "waved at" to get her attention for every other request i.e. placing the food order or requesting more drinks. Starters were excellent but my main meal (burger) was not hot. The jam roly poly was dry, hard, lukewarm and unlike any I've tasted before - I didn't eat it. The choc bread & butter pudding was not much better.

Bankside EC2. Perfect place if you're in a rush. We ate in just over an hour. The food was fine, good value as we got the 3 courses for £15 deal. Shame the restaurant was empty which really affected the ambience. The staff were efficient but we didn't really appreciate the stacking of chairs and clearing up for the night when we were still there, especially when it was only 9.30!
