Lovely restaurant, great food. I had the Salmon Grovalox to start with which was amazing and then for the main i had best end lamb which was lovely. All in all i would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Banks Bar Bistro was very smart and inviting. The food was good but my only crticism was that the tables were very squashed in and you felt you were sat on top of each other.

We had another lovely meal at Banks Bar Bistro as part of a much larger party, so benifited from the party menu. This included a few items from the main menu, but at a better price - only £22.95 for 3 courses and coffee. As usual the food was delicious and the ambience great, ably assisted by the friends we were with. We shall definitely be returning soon.

Good food, tables a little packed in, probably priced about right for what it is

Banks Bistro was a little dark and when we were seated next to a window overlooking the road, the atmosphere was a bit cold, in fact my companion commented how cold she was. However, the menu was very impressive and each course we ordered was presented very well on hot plates and the food was absolutely delicious having been cooked to perfection. I would go there again but would like to experience the atmosphere and ambience in the evening whilst having dinner.

Banks is a really welcome oasis in the dining desert that is Hampshire. We were on holiday from London with the relatives, the lunch menu was excellent value and somehow managed to cater for all three generations. Will definitely return!

Food good, service also good. Value for money...? - Cheese board was £7 and was very small. Was not overly busy...for a Saturday night.

The Banks is conveniently located with friendly and good staff. The food was well presented and well prortioned. We only had a main course and desert. I look forward to revisiting and trying something else on the menu.
