Balthazar's keuken is a truly special place. Best tuna steak I've had, perfectly cooked, lovely homely atmosphere, friendly service and an obvious pride in serving great quality food... we had a great night and it was very reasonably priced... definitey worth going!

Balthazar's keuken was great value for money. The food was great and service was efficient and all staff spoke English. The decor was not so great but if you want to eat quality food that tastes great, drink reasonably priced wine and just chat to your friends for hours this is the place to do it. Very relaxed atmosphere, just don't be put off by the 'eclectic' decor - a real hidden gem!

Balthazars is a tiny 30 seater in a quiet but trendy part of town. The set menu is divine - 5 tapas-style starters were followed by perfectly executed and imaginative mains. Simple but delicious dessert. No fuss - one choice - but trust them, as they really know what they're doing here! A great evening.

Balthazar's Keuken is a little gem tucked away in the Jordaan of Amsterdam. The Jordaan is a quieter part of the city, with less disco, but more jazz! This cosy restaurant reflects this cool neighbourhood with friendly waiting staff who leave you to your own devices but are there when you need them. Every morsel from Balthazar's plates was worthwhile. The starters in particular were delectable, and the delicious main courses are served in generous portions. I'll be going back there, no question!

Balthazar's keuken. Cramped. Due to popularity, hard to get into. Slow but very friendly service. Despite the narrow confines, has considerable atmosphere. Utterly unpretentious. Although a rather restricted menu and wine list, we had our best meal in Amsterdam here. Prices surprisingly reasonable. Highly recommended.
