8 Kings Road, Despite having three large parties to cater for the service was excellent and food arrived in a timely fashion and hot. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would certainly return.

This was our second visit, but despite me noting on the booking that my mother was gluten and dairy intolerant, bread and butter was still delivered to our table, and the vegetables had a glistening of butter on them. Never the less it was a lovely lunch, although I do wish the people of Portsmouth would dress more appropriately when they went out to eat.

Our first visit to 8 Kings in Southsea for my husbands 65th birthday. We were impressed by the attitude of the staff and friendly service, the menu was well balanced and the food very good and well presented. We will certainly return.

8 Kings Road was a lovely meal. we were celebrating my mothers 60th birthday. I had asked for them to organise a candle in my mothers dessert, when she did not order a dessert, they wrote on her coffee plate with chocolate, which was thoughtful. The food was fantastic. I had the halibut which was lovely, but my mothers dish the monkfish was definately the best. Lovely little nibbles were bought out whilst we were ordering. The staff appeared to be new but trying very hard.

amazing!!!!!!!! ... entrees... starters... main meals... service!!... the lighting & decor made for a fantastic ambience. the staff were polite, sooo clean & well presented, helpful & attentive & a massive credit to the proprietors!!

8 King's Road has to be the finest restaurant in Portsmouth. The menu whilst not extensive provides choice for the most discerning palate. The addition of a chef's muse as a complimentary appetiser was a nice touch as was the lemon and vodka sorbet to cleanse the palate between first and main courses. The abience is exquisite with wonderful chandeliers & a galleried seating area offset by mood lighting & music provided by a wonderful pianist. The staff were wonderful & the food & wine are 5*
